1. Order your free credit reports from our friends at annualcreditreport.com. Order all 3, if you want, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. (you can do this for free every 12 months) We recommend after following all three steps that in 12 months when it’s free again, you order one credit bureau, say from Experian. Then four months later run one from Equifax and four months later one from TransUnion. Then a year has gone by and it’s time to order another one from Experian. Repeat this process from here on out and you can monitor your credit FOR FREE. Mr. Ed doesn’t want you paying some outside company money for this. That’s your money for your family, for your future.



2. When you receive your credit bureau(s) go over each item. Instructions should be included on how to read them, or check out this link for tips on understanding your credit report. They’re tricky to read for the first time, so if you need assistance and you’re comfortable sharing your info with a friend who’s knowledgeable about this stuff, invite them over for lunch and have them help. In Mr. Ed we like to say “two ED’s are better than one” lol. You can also e-mail Kevin Murphy (he does all the Mr. Ed credit seminars) with your tough questions and he’ll try to help…again all for free. You can dispute any item that is not correct. The process is simple and can all be done by mail, and also through the internet. 3. Start rebuilding NOW and get an auto loan! If not from Mr. Ed (but why wouldn’t you…we’re so nice and helpful), from a reputable franchised dealer. The sooner you begin paying back your auto loan on time, the sooner your credit score will go up. It will take months and sometimes longer to clean up credit, but an auto loan begins today.
